About YIVTOL

Backed by more than a decade of deep-tech experience, building aircraft for personal flight.

YIVTOL is a Shenzhen-based developer and manufacturer of ultra-light manned eVTOL aircraft, founded by Chen Yuan. Its R&D headquarters and laboratories are in Shenzhen, with a manufacturing centre in Luoyang. The company holds the first ultra-light eVTOL airworthiness certificate and led formulation of the sector's first industry standard.

Team

The talent pool is strengthened by experts recruited from XPeng AeroHT, Leapmotor, Rodplane Aviation, Beihang University and Shenzhen University. The founding team includes Chen Yuan as CEO.

The joint laboratory is led by Wu Zongze, a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" leading talent in science and technology innovation, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chief engineer of China's "pterosaur" UAV programme at Beihang University. Xiang Jinwu serves as Chief Scientist.

Milestones

First certification: obtained the first ultra-light eVTOL airworthiness certificate.
First standard: led the formulation of the first industry standard.
First insurance: secured the first specialised eVTOL insurance coverage.
First delivery: achieved the highest delivery volume in the sector.
